Taylor Beck
Manager, Partnerships

Taylor Beck joined the Virginia Ready team in March 2021 as the Partnerships Manager and works with business partners to develop strategies focused on “Skills First” hiring. She is dedicated to fulfilling hiring needs across the Commonwealth. Not only does she help businesses close unemployment gaps, she is helping close the access gap for their open positions, thus fulfilling DE&I commitments that companies have made to their communities. Her ultimate goal is to help you create opportunities for previously hidden talent and become a leader in Virginia’s talent development, workforce ecosystem.
Before joining the VA Ready team, Taylor served as the Senior Manager of Partnerships for the National Head Start Association (NHSA). There, she strengthened her commitment to community service, furthered her experience in collaboration and development of opportunities for stakeholders, and gained an appreciation for a business impact. As a result of her breadth of skills and depth of project management expertise, she excels at bringing order to chaos and finds great satisfaction in establishing best practices through a “continuous quality improvement” approach. She was responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships with key external stakeholders, managing strategic revenues, conference trade shows, and sponsorships.
Prior to her time with NHSA, she was the Membership Experience Manager at The University Club of Washington, DC, a Platinum City Club of America. She supported the General Manager and Board of Governors by bolstering membership development and retention by establishing changes to the admissions process, educating current members to sustain the health and wellness of the Club, and expanding and diversifying the membership base.
With a passion for coaching and mentoring, she previously served as the Executive Chapter Advisor for the Zeta Xi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi sorority at the University of Virginia from 2018-2022. She started her education at Blue Ridge Community College before transferring to James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Hospitality Management with a Minor in Business Management – Go Dukes!
